Description

Blackwood Projects was engaged to deliver a high-end office refurbishment on Level 6 of P Block at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), within a live, high-traffic teaching environment. The project demanded meticulous planning and execution to maintain full building functionality throughout the works.

The scope included a complete internal reconfiguration featuring new partitions, ceilings, floor finishes, integrated joinery and upgraded services – all tailored to support a modern, collaborative workspace. Despite spatial limitations and a condensed construction timeline, the project was completed to an exceptional standard, with premium finishes and attention to detail evident throughout.

Critical works, including service shutdowns and noisy construction activities, were carried out after hours to avoid disruption to staff and students. Material deliveries were carefully scheduled outside peak times to minimise impact on campus operations.
