Description

The refurbishment of Ithaca Creek was undertaken during term 4 of the school year and as such all materials and workers passed through the live school environment – this required a high level of detail in the site establishment and ongoing planning of the works to ensure the safety of the school students, particularly in relation to getting plant and materials in and out of the site.

The works generally consisted of the internal lining of the school hall with plywood, rectification of the leaking roof including removal and replacement of the vented ridge, replacement of all barge flashings and replacement of leaking alsynite roof sheeting.

The project was completed on time with a high quality finish achieved and a happy end user. The primary key to the successful outcome achieved on this project was maintaining a high level of communication between all parties.
